Billbergia 'Las Manchas'
Billbergia 'Las Manchas' is a delightful compact hybrid created by Don Beadle. It is a cultivar resulting from the cross of 'Kline's Red Wine' x 'Pixie'. This short and compact plant boasts a wide base, giving it a charming appearance. The leaves showcase a lovely combination of colors, with a vibrant green background with white mottling. A delicate cast of pink and gray on the foliage.
While the bloom of most Billbergia varieties lasts only for a few days, 'Las Manchas' remains captivating even without the presence of inflorescence. It particularly shines when displayed in pots with multiple plants, creating a visually appealing look.
Growth habit: Small
Light requirements: Strong filtered light: Prefers moderate levels of light, such as bright indirect light or filtered sunlight. Thrives in well-lit spaces without direct exposure to intense sunlight.
