Size: Fully Grown

The Neoregelia 'Joao Marcio' is an incredibly attractive plant featuring striking kiwi green leaves adorned with bold burgundy bands. When exposed to strong light, the colors of the leaves intensify, displaying deeper brown bands that are almost solid at the base of the plant. This plant is a popular choice for terrariums due to its unique shape, color, and water-holding leaves, which are essential for poison dart frog tanks.

For optimal growth, it's recommended to grow the Neoregelia 'Joao Marcio' in bright light with some partial shade throughout the day, although it can be acclimated to full sun. Growing this miniature bromeliad in a hanging pot is an excellent idea, as it will form beautiful clusters in just a few seasons.

Growth habit: Miniature

Light requirements: Strong filtered light: Prefers moderate levels of light, such as bright indirect light or filtered sunlight. Thrives in well-lit spaces without direct exposure to intense sunlight.
