Neoregelia 'Sparky'
Neoregelia 'Sparky', a clone created by Michael Kiehl, combines the genetic traits of olens, cruenta, and 'Painted Lady'. This stoloniferous rosette grows up to 15 inches wide and 8 inches tall. Its shiny green leaves develop a vibrant red veneer on the upper surface, though it does not envelop the entire leaf. During the blooming period, the center cup flushes a rich cherry red color. The overall shape of 'Sparky' resembles olens but on a larger scale. When provided with bright light and minimal fertilizer, this variety displays exceptionally intense coloration, making it a truly captivating sight.
Growth habit: Small
Light requirements: Strong filtered light: Prefers moderate levels of light, such as bright indirect light or filtered sunlight. Thrives in well-lit spaces without direct exposure to intense sunlight.
