Neoregelia tristis
Neoregelia tristis is a compact species of the Neoregelia genus that develops beautiful purple spots on its green foliage, particularly on the undersides of its leaves. It is sometimes mistaken for Neoregelia 'Ariel' and Neoregelia 'Smithii' due to their similar appearance.
