Neoregelia punctatissima rubra
The Neoregelia punctatissima rubra boasts a distinctive deep coppery to reddish-purple color that is emphasized by dark banding. It is a stoloniferous plant that grows in clusters, making it a fantastic addition to a hanging basket or terrarium. The Neoregelia punctatissima is native to Brazil, and the punctatissima cultivar features red flushing across its yellow leaf surfaces, with deep red zonation throughout. Despite being a miniature species with mature sizes ranging from 3" to 4" across, it is highly prolific and freely multiplies. This plant thrives remarkably well in terrarium/vivarium environments, displaying vivid colors and impressive hardiness.
